Grand Junction Police are looking for a man who threatened a woman with a knife and then stole her car.
Just after 10 pm last night, authorities responded to St. Mary's Hospital to a report of a car jacking in progress. According to the Grand Junction Police Department the male suspect approached a woman in a parking lot and threatened her with a knife. However, according to authorities there was no weapon seen at the time of the incident.
The suspect, believed to be a white male with dark hair in his twenties,
stole the woman's 2002 white Toyota Sequoia. The Grand Junction Police Department has set out notices to neighboring jurisdictions, including the Colorado State Patrol and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, with suspect and vehicle description. The suspect could face charges of aggravated motor vehicle theft.
