Palisade fire fighters got to show off their newest addition Tuesday as their new fire engine was officially dedicated.
It's the first one like it the department has seen since 1956.
The fire engine was purchased last July after receiving assistance from a federal grant and Fire Chief Richard Rupp said the engine was a necessary addition to ensure safety.
Anyone from the public can come and check out the new fire engine.
It'll remain on display at the fire station at 175 E. 3rd St. in Palisade.
