Congressman John Salazar was joined by State Representatives Mark Udall and Bernie Buesher at Mesa State College.
They all say they stand for many issues regarding education such as lowering the interest rate on student loans, increasing pell grants, and making tuition tax deductible. Since all of these issues would effect college students, Salazar says its important to encourage them to vote.
Salazar says, "Look at this country, with a great Constitution. It's the greatest country on Earth, we have the right to freedom and the right to vote. So our message today is regardless of who you vote for, it is imperative that you get out and vote."
Salazar also says that college age students are the future of this country, so they need to get their ideas and opinions out by voting.
