It has been an important mid – term election year for politicians, and with so much on the line some campaigns use negative ads, but do they really persuade voters?

Mesa County party leaders acknowledge that voters don't like the negative campaigns. Mesa County Republican Chairperson, Lois Dunn, and Mesa County Democrat Chairperson, Robert Traylor, both say they dislike negative ads.

Politicians get their word out through mail, phone, and of course; television ads. Most would agree that in a democracy, campaigning comes with the territory.
