A car ends up on top of a rock after it fell from Mount Garfield onto Interstate 70 Saturday night.
According to officials on scene, just before 10 pm on Saturday four to five rocks fell onto Interstate 70 near mile marker 42. The Palisade Fire Department, Palisade Police and the Colorado State Patrol responded and found a Ford Ranger pickup trick on top of one of the rocks.
No one was injured as a result of the minor rock slide, but one lane of I-70 was closed for a short time while authorities cleared the debris.
The Colorado Department of Transportation examined the area to make sure there were no other loose rocks in the area.
