A 26-year-old Grand Valley woman is formally sentenced for the death of a two-year-old in her care that happened in 2005.
Sarah Beaudoin will spend the next 50 years of her life in jail.
The sentence is part of a plea agreement made in November, when Beaudoin plead guilty to a number of counts against her, while some were dropped, including a first-degree murder charge.
Beaudoin addressed the court Monday, saying she was remorseful for causing the death of 18-month-old Keaton Anderson and is hoping in time the boy's family will find forgiveness in their hearts.
The now convicted felon also wants to write a book in prison to help curb violence against children.
Beaudoin will be in her late 70s when released.
