Bridging the gap between school and home, that's the goal of a school District 51 internet program. From attendance to daily and quarterly grades, lunch menus, and classroom assignments, it's all accessible on–line through Mesa County Valley School District 51's Parent Bridge program. Parents like Wendy Joy say the program is a helpful tool to create a line of communication between parents and teachers as well as to hold students accountable for their actions in the classroom. Currently the program is used in all the middle and high schools and nearly half of all the elementary schools district–wide. Soon even households without access to the internet will be able to get on the Parent Bridge. The school district is teaming up with Bresnan Communications and City Market to install computer kiosks at all the area City Market stores by the end of this school year.
