32 year old Ubaldo Blas had his thyroid removed nearly three years ago. Since the operation, he has suffered from medical problems; which he and doctors attributed to getting his thyroid balanced. But, he got worse and finally a Montrose Memorial Hospital medical doctor recognized the symptoms and checked for leukemia.
There has been a medical fund set up to help out with the Blas's medical bills. Donations are being accepted at the Montrose Bank, under the Ubaldo Blas Medical Benefit Fund.
