Castle Rock, Colo. (AP) Criminal charges are possible for Castle Rock Middle School students who showed nude photos of classmates or forwarded them to other students via cell phones.
Denver television station KUSA reports that as many as six students at the school took nude photographs as part of a dare. The station reports the photos were either viewed or forwarded to as many as 50 students.
Douglas County Schools spokeswoman Whei Wong says officials are concerned the photos may end up on the internet.
Castle Rock Police Lieutenant Douglas Ernst says students could face jail time and fines depending on the intent of the photographs.
The school district is trying to determine an appropriate punishment.
