A Fruita woman is asking for the community's help after her sister and brother–in–law are severely beaten by a man.
Lynette Mahoney's sister Linda and her husband Marvin Bradshaw lived in Grand Junction for more than 30 years but recently the two moved to Missouri to retire.
On Friday night Lynette received a call that they had been beaten by a man authorities say had an ax and was possibly on meth.
Linda and Marvin are in a Missouri hospital with serious injuries and they fear Marvin will lose his left eye.
A relief fund has been set up at the Academy Bank at Wal–Mart on Rimrock Avenue. Or help can be sent to Lynette Mahoney at 977 S. Pine Street, Fruita, CO 81521.
Lynette will be going to Missouri next week to visit the two in the hospital.
