The FBI has issued a security bulletin to local law enforcement agencies across the county to be on alert.

Most parents are disgusted that terrorists would target their children. After learning about the warning, police say Mesa County residents are safe. But that doesn't mean we should let our guard down. Police want people to be on high alert.

Laidlaw, the contractor that provides bussing in the school district, said they conduct extensive background checks on all drivers. They are confident their system works.

The FBI said they have received no threats or credible information in this case suggesting a terrorism plot.
