It was about a year ago when Mesa County introduced the idea of a Clifton/Fruitvale revitalization plan and on Wednesday residents came together to start piecing the plan together.
The county has compiled residential input taken during neighborhood or community meetings to see what the needs and desires are. Along with citing the needs for improved roads and infrastructure, the question of whether to annex into the City of Grand Junction or becoming an independent city is also an option.
But for some residents the plan has been a chance for residents to become a part of the future.
"Personally my next step is to see what degree I'm further involved on some of the committees they're trying to set up and take the individual ideas even further," Clifton resident Pat Martinez said.
The completed master plan should be completed sometime before the end of the year.
