The loose dog that has been roaming the grounds of Walker Field Airport for more than two weeks has been caught.

This dog was captured Saturday morning by Mesa County Animal Services using a humane trap. Officials are keeping the dog at the shelter and say it's doing well.

The decision to catch the dog came when airport officials expressed safety concerns. They feared the dog may wander onto a runway and cause an accident.

The dog is believed to be husky mix or hybrid wolf.
