Mesa State Students React To Deadly Shooting

Students and staff at Mesa State College are reacting to Monday's tragic shooting, and many are stopping to think that this type of thing could happen anywhere at anytime.

Many students have one thing on their mind; how could anyone kill so many people and why?

School officials say they understand why the shooting might make some people fearful of campus life, but they want to remind students and staff that help is nearby in case of an emergency. Officials say Mesa State is lucky to have campus security is provided by the Grand Junction Police Department.

The college also has a variety of emergency plans in place to deal with circumstances like Monday's shooting.

Students and staff at Mesa State say they'll be praying for the victims, their families, and everyone affected by the shooting.
