Norman, Okla. (AP) The University of Oklahoma has put up a memorial to a student who died when a home-made bomb exploded near the OU football stadium.
A stone with the name of Joel Hinrichs III was placed outside the OU Student Union by the student affairs division.
The Colorado Springs resident died October first, 2005, when a bomb he had in his possession went off as he sat on a campus bench near Memorial Stadium.
A football game was under way at the time.
Hinrichs' father, Joel Hinrichs Junior, says the memorial was not his idea, but OU offered to have the stone placed.
Families normally pay about $150 for such memorials.
Hinrichs says he's offered to pay, but OU hasn't sent him a bill.
