Nearly 200 elementary school students will be snuggling up with a good book thanks to a local non–profit organization.
First Book of Mesa County and Borders Bookstore came together today to help Columbine Elementary students get their hands on some new books.
Each student in the school got to visit the store and pick out $10 worth of books.
For many of these kids this is the first book they've ever bought. Students say they appreciate the books and can't wait to get home and read.
The mission of First Book of Mesa County is to raise money in order to put as many books as they can in the hands of low income children.
