For the second time in about two weeks a piece of art on a street corner is vandalized.
Early Tuesday morning a newspaper deliverer noticed this bronze statue laying on the ground and called police. The "Sunriser" is a permanent fixture on Fourth and Main Streets.
At this time there are no suspects, anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous Crimestoppers tip line at 241–STOP.
Damage is estimated at more than $500.
You may remember a couple of Sundays ago, a bronze pig sculpture was stolen from Sixth and Main Streets. The suspect was quickly arrested and the pig was recovered, however it did receive about a thousand dollars worth of damage.
