Dozens gathered Saturday at Eagle Rim Park to honor the late James M. Robb. Those who knew him say he was a dedicated and determined worker.
Robb worked hard to complete the Old Spanish Trail. Saturday at the North branch of the trail, a monument in his memory was unveiled.
He assisted in completing several conservation projects around the Western Slope including the Colorado Riverfront Foundation.
Robb passed away in 2005. He's a former state legislator and judge who helped preserve the face of Western Colorado. He has received several awards for his work. The Grand Valley's Colorado River State Park was also renamed in 2005 to honor the late civic leader.
