An afternoon accident sends two people to the hospital and closes a stretch of road for more than an hour.
The crash happened shortly before noon Monday on 29 Road just South of North Avenue.
A Grand Junction woman is accused of causing the crash.
Police 25–year–old Nicole Rogers hit 43–year–old Darrel Thomas and 41–year–old Ginger Ybarra on their Harley Davidson motorcycle. Police say Rogers failed to yield to the right of way when she pulled out in front of the two cyclists on 29 Road.
Ybarra and Thomas were taken to St. Mary's Hospital, police do not believe their injuries are life threatening.
Rogers and her passenger were uninjured in the crash and refused medical treatment.
