Grand Junction's 125th Anniversary Celebration


Grand Junction's birthday is coming up and plans for the big celebration were unveiled on Wednesday.

Planning for the four day celebration has been in the works for more than a year. Organizers say a lot of people are unfamiliar with the history of Grand Junction, so the theme of the anniversary is "George Who?" This is in honor of Grand Junction's founder George Crawford.

Event Planner Sam Rainguet says, "George Crawford came across the hill 125 years ago and he saw this beautiful place and thought to form a town at the junction of the two rivers and here we are and it's a beautiful place."
