Mesa State College receives a grant to take a step in the fight against Meth.
The Mesa County Meth task force and the El Pomar Foundation provided the $ 10,000 grant.
The grant will enable research in court records, a four county inmate study, a long term study of the new residential methamphetamine treatment facility in Mesa County, and coordination of data collection and analysis from various groups in the fight against Meth.
The money is being used to build a research center where we are collecting data about the extent of the Meth problem across the Western Slope.
The money will be used to analyze data in Mesa, Garfield, Montrose, and Delta counties.
