Boulder, Colo. (AP) The teenage daughter of a Lafayette woman found dead in the trunk of her car is now facing a first-degree murder charge.

Prosecutors filed the charge against 15-year-old Tess Damm last week, but the motion was not added to her court file nor announced by prosecutors until Monday.

Tess Damm had been accused of conspiring to kill her mother, but the new charge means she could face life in prison if convicted.

She's one of four people charged in the death of 52-year-old Linda Damm. Police were acting on a tip when they discovered her body in a car at her home February 28th.

Investigators say the body had been in the car for about three weeks.
