With summer quickly approaching you may have noticed some intruders on your lawn.
Noxious weeds and are invasive and aggressive.
They are not just a problem in Grand Junction but all over the world.
Authorities say controlling these weeds will increase the productivity of land and prevent the disruption of essential ecological processes.
Controlling them can be costly.
That's why Mesa County is helping with the Noxious Weed Cost–Share Program.
The county will reimburse landowners for fifty percent of the cost of weed control.
Funds are limited so you have to submit an application to the County Weed Advisory Board.
The last day to apply is June 15th.
