Des Moines, Iowa (AP) A Colorado player came close, but no one matched all six numbers drawn to win last night's Powerball jackpot worth $33.7 million.
Wednesday's winning numbers were 5-9-14-45-and-48. The Powerball was 28 and the multiplier was 4.
A Colorado power play ticket hit the first five numbers only to win 800-thousand dollars.
Three other tickets without the power play option -- sold in Indiana, Missouri and Pennsylvania -- also matched the first five numbers to win $200,000.
The Powerball jackpot is expected to grow to $43 million for Saturday.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
It's now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
