Colorado State Patrol Troopers are reconstructing the scene of this weekend's fatal head–on accident and say they believe a medical condition may have played a part in the crash.
Colorado State Patrol has up to 18 months to complete its investigation into the crash and file charges.
According to troopers, 35-year-old Daniel Dunn was driving the car that swerved into oncoming traffic on Highway 340 at Mesa Grande Drive Saturday killing 77-year-old Leslie Frink of Grand Junction.
Dunn was taken to St. Mary's Hospital and has been upgraded from fair to good condition.
Colorado State Patrol is also waiting for toxicology tests to see if alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.
