It's a party at the Mesa County Library this week and surprisingly reading isn't the center of attention.
Grand Junction celebrates its 125th birthday this weekend.
The Mesa County Library is kicking off the event a little early with costume parties. Children are urged to dress in costumes and head to the library for games and fun. There is bowling, fishing, and face painting just to name a few of the activities. Each child will receive tickets for the many games and prizes are plentiful.
If you missed the party this morning don't worry, there's a party tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Tuesday and Wednesday the festivities begin at 9 a.m and go until 11 a.m.
