Some climbers on the Colorado National Monument today showed true patriotism.
Twenty six climbers and ten volunteers from Mesa County Search and Rescue were out ascending Independence Rock today.
This wasn't just any climb, once all the climbers were at the top they put together a flag pole and flew the american flag proudly.
They also held up a large sign that said "Land of the Free".
The flag raising today was more than just a display of patriotism,
it was also a fund raiser for Mesa County Search and Rescue, in which more than three thousand dollars was raised.
