Grand Junction Police have solved the mystery of who torched 11 cars in Grand Junction two weeks ago. Police say it was a 17–year–old boy who set the cars on fire, and now he's facing several serious charges.

According to an arrest affidavit, 17–year–old Ian Jacob Dowdy allegedly told a friend he was "really drunk" and bored when he started the fires.

Police say a surveillance tape also linked Dowdy to the crimes. Officials say it shows him vandalizing the North Avenue Mc Donald's drive-through.

Dowdy is facing 11 counts of felony trespassing along with charges of second degree arson, criminal mischief and theft. The teen will be in court on Monday to be advised of his charges.
