A woman involved in a weekend rafting accident on the Colorado River has died.
Mesa County Coroner Dr. Dean Havlik says it was an unfortunate accidental drowning which killed 44-year-old Lisa Walker from Illinois.
She was pronounced dead Monday around 3 o'clock St. Mary's Hospital.
Walker was pulled from the water near Eagle Rim Park on Orchard Mesa late Sunday afternoon after it was reported her boat had been caught up in some roots and capsized during a family rafting trip. Rescue crews performed CPR on the woman from the water to the hospital. The other 10 members of her party had to be rescued from the water as well.
