We want to take a moment now to tell you about a loss here at KKCO.

Over the weekend, our business manager Bob Kornelson passed away. His passing leaves us all a little sadder.

Before coming to our family at KKCO, Bob had a long career at VECO Drilling, where he served as secretary and treasurer of the company.

Bob worked behind the scenes, in many ways his work was far more valuable. For while Bob's title was Business Manager, he did a lot more than just make sure the bills were paid. Bob looked out for all of us, making sure we had the right insurance, or getting our checks on time.

Bob was intelligent and hard working. He'd often be found in his office early in the morning, late at night or on the weekends looking out for our financial stability.

Although we will miss him greatly, we are consoled by the fact he had a full, happy and prosperous life. He traveled the world, maintained a loving family and poured his life out to others.

Bob is survived by his wife, two daughters and a beloved grandson.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado. P.O. Box 60307, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
