Cops Encourage Neighbors To Party

It's proven that knowing your neighbors makes your neighborhood safer, that's why police are encouraging you to have a block party.

The Grand Junction Police Department is partnering up with local neighborhoods for its National Night Out event.

So far 15 neighborhood block parties have been scheduled for Tuesday, but police are hoping more people will get involved.

Police say the block parties are a great way to start neighborhood watch programs and just get to know your neighbors.
