Many companies offer rebates as incentives, but is the hassle and time really worth the money?
An 11 News viewer called us after she bought windows for her house. The window company offered a rebate of 5 thousand dollars, but there was a list of rules and regulations that went along with that rebate. The viewer says she followed them all, yet she has yet to see any money. The Better Business Bureau says this happens a lot when dealing with mail in rebates.
Holly Zechin, Better Business Bureau says, "How rebates work is in hopes that the customers won't send the rebate in, if they all did, then the company wouldn't make any money."
