A pile of sawdust caught fire this afternoon outside of Intermountain Precast.
The fire broke out at around 1:30 this afternoon at 595 Westgate Drive in Grand Junction. The business it threatened is a Precast Concrete company. Though the fire never reached the inside of the building, it did melt some of the siding. Two propane tanks were close to the flames but Grand Junction's Fire Departments quick response may have avoided a potential disaster.
There is minimal damage to the business and no one was inside the building when the fire broke out. The fire was called in by a passerby who saw the flames. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
