School starts on Monday and for some students at Mesa State College the year will start off in a hotel.

Mesa State College has 1,181 beds in their residents halls and campus apartments, but all of them are full. The school started a waiting list last month and there are about 44 students who will have to live in a hotel or nearby apartment. Their stay may last anywhere from a month to an entire semester.

Dana Nunn, Mesa State College spokesperson says, "Typically as school starts you have students that end up not coming or they change their minds. Then we have openings to move in other students."

These housing arrangements won't cost students any additional money.
