The Rippy Fire in Garfield County that was apparently started by lightning over the weekend is now fully contained.
Garfield County Sheriff's Officials say that 100% containment has now been reached in the fire that burned at least 20 acres. The fire started on Sunday and was believed to have been sparked by lightning.
Because of dense Pinyon and Cedar in the area, crews had to attack the fire mainly from the ground. Multiple agencies assisted with the fire.
