A teenager accused of giving birth and then leaving her own newborn baby to die in a drawer has another month to decide what plea she'll enter in the case.
In court Thursday morning Cheyenne Corbett's attorney told the judge they've been discussing plea agreements and that the 18–year–old would be ready to enter a plea in early October.
Corbett is facing first degree murder charges and child abuse resulting in death.
Authorities say the teen hid her pregnancy from friends and family and gave birth to a healthy baby girl in her shower. They say the teen then wrapped the infant in a towel and placed her in the drawer of an entertainment center and left her for dead.
