The man police say hit and killed another man yesterday on Interstate 70 was in court on Thursday. 28 year old James Wilson is accused of running over Paul Dobson Wednesday and not stopping to help him.
According to an Arrest Affidavit, Wilson told police it was raining and he had his windshield wipers on and didn't know he had hit Dobson. Wilson is now facing two Felony counts of Hit and Run involving death.
If found guilty, Wilson could spend up to 12 years in prison and face a three year mandatory parole. Wilson's bond is set at $15,000 which is double the normal amount for a Class Four Felony, the judge ordered this because of the severity of the case. Wilson is expected back in court later this month.
