8-Year Old Hit Riding Bike to School

An eight year old boy is hit by a Jeep while riding his bike to school.

It happened after eight Monday morning on D 1/2 Road.

The Chatfield Elementary student was riding his bike when a Jeep pulled out of the parking lot of Step By Step Learning Center and hit the boy.

Colorado State Patrol says the driver of the Jeep said she couldn't see the boy in the bike lane because of a bus parked in the lot.

No one was cited in the incident, but Step By Step was asked to move the bus.

The child didn't suffer any injuries.
