Paper airline tickets will become a thing of the past next summer, as most major airlines move exclusively to E–tickets beginning June 1st.
Right now only 14% of the 400 million tickets processed each year are paper tickets. Some small regional and foreign airlines will continue using paper tickets. The change will save the airline industry 3 billion dollars a year.
