GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Friday night at Colorado Mesa University the Student Veterans Association held their 2nd Annual All-Services Military Ball.

The students invited military veterans, law enforcement, and first responders to a night of food, live entertainment, and dancing.

But students running the event say there's more to it than just having a good time.

"Really what this evening is about is to remember the people that we served with and the people who didn't come home and the people who are still out there serving right now," said CMU Student Veterans Association president, Barry Teeple.

The CMU Student Veterans Association serves to provide veterans with support, advocacy, and resources to help them succeed in higher education and post-graduation.

They say they plan on hosting the event again next year.
