GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Every Tuesday, the Historic Avalon Theatre hosts “Dinner and a Movie” and is still taking place on Christmas day. On Dec. 25 the theatre will be showing The Wizard of Oz and will also be a one-day food drive to benefit the Western Slope Food Bank of the Rockies.
Normally, guests receive two movie tickets when they present a dinner receipt from any downtown Grand Junction restaurant. With the showing falling on Christmas day, guests can bring two non-perishable food items in exchange for one free movie ticket.
Admission without a food donation is $5 per person. The show will start at 4 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
