Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- The Powerball jackpot has reached a record breaking $600 million.

As the drawing gets closer, local convenience stores are seeing a huge increase in purchases.

Shawnee Rulon, store clerk at Conoco, said she sold one man $200 worth of Powerball tickets, which benefits the store whether he wins or loses.

The numbers will be revealed at 8:59 pm MST and if no one wins the jackpot will go up to $925 million.
