DENVER, Colo. (KKCO) Have you ever been on your way to Denver, about to get on I-70 E, and wondered what the traffic outlook was like?

Just in time for Labor day, drivers who own a smart phone will be able to download a new free app from the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The app will update drivers in real-time, giving them notifications on severe traffic issues, major accidents, road closures and any other information that may impact drive time.

Initially the app will focus on I-70 and I-25.

To download it for free starting Friday, visit the application store on your smart phone and search 'CDOT Mobile'.
