CMU showcasing student art exhibits

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Colorado Mesa University Center is having the first of two exhibits showcasing the work of 2013 graduating senior Studio Art majors. The art on display will include figurative, abstract and functional works in oil and acrylic, ceramic, print, drawing and sculpture. The gallery will open on Monday, Mar. 11 and close on Apr. 12.

The first exhibit will showcase a developed body of work from Kalena Castaneda, Julia Ennis, Dennis Friedly, Pavia Justinian, Sandy Tull and Tawni Urbina.

There will be a public reception to view the exhibit and meet the artists on Friday, Mar. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. The Art Gallery is located in the University Center at Colorado Mesa University. Admission is free.
