Career Center students spotlighted at open house

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – The career center held it's annual open house Friday afternoon. The open house gave a chance for students to showcase the items they make at the career center, including floral arrangements, zen gardens, pencil holders, dog houses treats for pets and much more. It was also a canned food drive which got you a discount at the floral shop. "It's just really a lot of work put into these from students its kind of great to see kids actually putting their foot out there and doing something," says Paige Lintner.

Santa also made an appearance and kids and dogs were able to take a free picture with him.All the canned goods collected will be donated to the Food Bank of the Rockies.

The career center's shop is open at 29-35 North Avenue for unique and student-made gifts.
