GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The cause and manner of death of the Jensen brothers, two young boys who died in their mother's car on the Grand Mesa six weeks ago has been released.
The Mesa County Coroner's Office says it's completed its portion of the investigation into the deaths of two-year-old William Jensen and his brother, four-year-old Tyler Jensen.
The coroner says the cause of death for both boys was hyperthermia and the manner of their death was accident. The boys were found unconscious and unresponsive in their mother, Heather Jensen's car on November 27 atop the Grand Mesa.
In a release, the coroner's office says it will make no other comments on the case at this time and directs all inquiries to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office continues to say this is an active and ongoing investigation and has been sealed by a judge, so it will not release additional details.
In an additional email, the coroner's office has said, "The district attorney has informed our office that he is still considering whether or not charges will be filed."
