  1. The Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce (GJACC) will make decisions based on sound judgments and endorsement criteria.
  2. The GJACC is non-partisan and will support candidates who meet our Chamber’s objectives.
  3. Candidates that are ultimately endorsed must understand and support the concerns and interests of our Chamber’s members.
  4. The GJACC should take the steps necessary to hold our elected officials accountable for the decisions they make—or don’t make.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce will be endorsing John Williams, Tom Parrish, and John Sluder in their respective candidacies for the District 51 school board.

The Chamber endorsement process involves an appointed endorsement committee composed of general Chamber members chaired by a Board Member that interviews candidates and makes recommendations to the board based upon four guiding principles.

The committee interviewed all candidates running for school board except Lonnie White, who declined to participate in the process.

John Williams is running in District C, Tom Parrish in District D, and John Sluder in District E.
