GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The city of Grand Junction is giving the community an easier way to access their website - through mobile devices.
The use of the internet on mobile devices is a growing trend throughout the world, and because the city averages about two-million hits on their website per year, the new mobile-friendly site makes access more efficient.
"It's just a really good next step in our communication with the public," said Sam Rainguet, city of GJ communications manager. "It provides a way that people can access information through our website, the way that they need it to be."
The city received a $6,500 grant that assisted in converting the website when individuals access it from their mobile devices.
