GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Politicians from all over the Western Slope will unite in Grand Junction to discuss the Affordable Care Act and what it means for Coloradans.
"This is one of the most sweeping pieces of legislation that’s happened in our lifetimes probably," said Bonnie Petersen, executive director of Club 20. "So we wanted to be sure people had an idea how it’s going to impact them individually."
Club 20 is hosting its fall meeting Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Two Rivers Convention Center.
Speakers will present on a range of healthcare topics from what individuals and families should be looking for when they pick out health insurance to what businesses will need to do to enact the changes required in the Affordable Care Act.
"We thought it would be very beneficial for people to have a resource that they could utilize," Petersen said. "A place that they could come and ask some questions, get some information about how does this impact them."
