UPDATE: The blue pick up truck believed to be involved in the abduction was found, but the suspect and the child were not in the vehicle. No new information on the suspects whereabouts is known at this time.

LONGMONT, Colo. (KKCO) -- An Amber Alert is in effect across the state.

Authorities say a child was abducted by his non-custodial father around 10 a.m. Saturday morning in Longmont.

The suspect forced entry into the residence, tazed and pepper-sprayed the mother, and physically removed the child who was last seen riding off on a bicycle.

It is believed he may have had a vehicle belonging to his brother and may be driving the Ford F-350, with Colorado license plates 245-FLJ.

The father had an active protection order requiring no contact with the child after a previous abduction.

The child's name is Luke Turner, and he is described as three feet tall, 28 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair. He was last seen wearing a royal blue "Lightning McQueen" shirt and blue swim shorts.
